Woodland's Stroll Through History is an annual event that features a handful of private homes that are open for tours. This part of the event is ticketed and typically sells out. The community hosts a range of other events that we also encourage visitors to enjoy, including neighborhood walking tours, downtown events, and landmark building tours. Most of these events are free unless otherwise specified.

Woodland’s Southern Pacific (SP) Train Station is unique. SP had a standard design for its passenger stations. Woodland has perhaps the last of these stations in its original configuration. Sacramento Valley Historical Railways has restored the station to its original grandeur. Sit in the waiting room and pretend you are in another era.
The depot was built in 1911. It is the only remaining of four train depots that served Woodland. The building has witnessed many historical events. Many famous people walked through its doors. The depot saw years of decline and decay as train travel declined. A concerted effort by a coalition of historical preservation groups, the City of Woodland, and many individuals and businesses saved the building from destruction.
The depot is open from 10 AM until 2 PM on Stroll Day. It is located at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Sixth Street.
